Sewing with Sarah Oliver. Ages 8+

Sarah Oliver is back by popular demand, teaching kids how to use sewing machines to create cool projects that they can actually use.

Morning Session from 10:00 – 12:00 pm. $25.

Engel Animals with Mark Watkins. Ages 5+

Mary Engel is a wonderful artist from Athens, GA. She makes cast concrete sculptures of animals that are embedded all over with watches or beads or other little things, making them both precious and massive. We’ll be using cardboard molds and plaster of Paris to make our animals, and beads and buttons to personalize them. The students can even bring in their own materials to add to their work! Anything small with a hard surface will work.  You can see Engel’s work at http://maryengelsculpture.com.

Afternoon Session from 1:00 – 3:00 pm.  $25

Both Sessions. Ages 5+. $40.

In the morning sessions, kids from 5-7 years old will be with Alison Hux, and kids 8+ will be with Sarah Oliver. Be sure to bring a bag lunch. If the weather is nice we’ll eat at the park.
